Due to the recent award of new projects, a leading manufacturer supplying the automotive sector has a new vacancy for an Embedded Software Engineer. Working on a number of innovative projects focusing on future EV technologies you will be involved from concept through to delivery and will be responsible for the development of electronics system designs.

As the Embedded Software Engineer you will be working on a number of innovative projects focusing on future EV technologies, you will be working on a number of innovative and well publicised programmes and will be joining an expanding company and be tasked with providing and delivering effective engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Technical delivery of software activities to meet timescale and cost Technical ownership of embedded software (powertrain, body, chassis), through development and validation of electrical and electronic systems Support system integration including debugging Work with suppliers and partners ensuring technical requirements are met Work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g. electronic hardware, control SW etc.) to develop modern, innovative and practical solutions
Degree qualified in an Engineering or Science related discipline Experience successfully supporting projects in an engineering environment, either in an OEM, Tier 1 or automotive consultancy. Supporting systems engineering processes and software development lifecycle Experience of embedded firmware development, deployed onto and interfacing with bespoke hardware Significant experience of C/C++ languages in real-time embedded systems The design of functional safety compliant software Experience of software development Bench testing and practical validation of software functionality and safety requirements
