A UK Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre are looking to develop the processes to transition the UK to become a world leader in manufacture of batteries for vehicle electrification. They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to aid in the battery formation, aging and testing (FA&T) department. This will include; instillation and commissioning of new production machinery, pro-active and reactive maintenance of equipment and monitoring of the factory wide BMS system.
Salary: £32,000 -£ 36,000 p.a. + Up to 16% Pension + 25 days holiday
The Manufacturing Technician will; Be a valued member of a small team responsible for the operation of a section of high-tech battery formation aging and testing processing equipment. Assist with commissioning activities, ensuring equipment is safe and meets expectations defined in the commissioning plan. Ensure routine preventative maintenance activities are carried out. Respond to technical issues / breakdowns ensuring quality and production is maintained. Implement continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
The Manufacturing Technician must have all of the following; Fully indentured and qualified apprenticeship >5yrs industry experience in a high-volume Automated Storage Systems Must have Robotics experience (FANUC ideal) Ideally a multiskilled technician with the following split - 40/40/20 (40% Mechanical / 40% Electrical / 20% Controls) The following PLC knowledge would be useful - Siemens/Mitsubishi/Alan Bradley Experience in diagnostic maintenance, troubleshooting, problem solving and repair of high speed/high precision process equipment. Experienced with automated storage/ warehousing equipment
